The Truth About the Old Macujo Method vs. Mike’s Macujo Method

Many years ago, around the late 1990s to early 2000s, Mike Macujo created the Macujo Method to help people pass hair follicle drug tests for marijuana. Back then, it was much easier to pass a hair drug test for THC because testing technology was far less advanced than it is today.

As the years passed, laboratories became smarter and hair testing technology improved dramatically. Because of this, Mike spent years researching, experimenting, and testing different cleansing approaches to help customers dealing with higher THC exposure, as well as people needing help with other substances including cocaine, opiates, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and alcohol markers.

Around 2017, Mike introduced the updated system known as Mike’s Macujo Method. This is the modern version of the original process and was created to address newer testing standards and more complex situations.

The Problem with Fake Sellers Online

Unfortunately, once the original Macujo Method became popular online, opportunists flooded the internet selling fake shampoos and counterfeit products while falsely claiming people could still pass using the old Macujo Method. Many of these sellers continue using the term “Macujo Method” because they cannot legally use the name Mike’s Macujo Method, because it is trademarked and copyrighted (Registration Number TXu 2-327-355).

Consumers need to understand something very important:

The old Macujo Method will only remove low to moderate THC. Many online sellers fail to explain this because they simply want to sell products. If you have exposure involving other substances besides THC, relying on the outdated old “Macujo Method” you will fail your test. It might pass for THC but will definitely fail for any other substance that was used.

Many of these sites continue pushing fake “Nexxus Aloe Rid” bottles, imitation detox shampoos, or shampoo products labeled “compared to Aloe Rid.” Consumers should be extremely careful because the original Nexxus Aloe Rid products disappeared from the market many years ago. Historical records show the original Aloe Rid line was discontinued in November 2010 and the older Aloe Rid trademark expired in 2013. Click here to see USPTO record. Then Mike Macujo applied for the ALOE RID trademark.

Important Facts About the Authentic Formula

Please note that Mike’s Macujo Method™ only works with the authentic, trademarked Macujo Aloe Rid® Shampoo. When Nexxus discontinued Aloe Rid in 2013, Mike partnered with the manufacturer to recreate the authentic formula. This is the only shampoo on the market that utilizes the exact formulation required for this method to be effective. Generic alternatives or knockoff shampoos will not produce the same results and are a threat to customer success.

Mike Macujo is the only owner of the Aloe Rid trademark and the original Nexxus Aloe Rid formulation.

Today, many online sellers try to bait consumers into saving a few dollars by purchasing imitation products. But people need to ask themselves an important question:

Is your career, family, probation, or future really worth risking to save a few bucks on a counterfeit shampoo?

Mike Macujo Online Wash Calculator / Personalized Recommendations

Every individual has a unique history of substance exposure, hair characteristics, and testing timeline. Because of these differences, a single cleansing schedule is unlikely to be appropriate for everyone.

Over many years, Mike analyzed customer experiences and real-world results to better understand how various factors can influence the number of cleansing sessions needed when following Mike’s Macujo Method™. Drawing on this experience, he developed the Mike Macujo Wash Calculator, a tool designed to provide more personalized guidance instead of relying on generalized recommendations.

How the Wash Calculator Works

The Mike Macujo Wash Calculator estimates a recommended number of cleansing sessions based on information provided by the user. Recommendations are tailored using factors such as:

Rather than applying the same instructions to every situation, the calculator provides guidance intended to better reflect each person’s unique circumstances.

Built-In Safety Margin

According to Mike Macujo, the calculator intentionally includes an additional safety margin by recommending one to three extra cleansing sessions beyond the estimated minimum. This conservative approach is intended to help account for variables that can differ from one individual to another, including:

The result is a more individualized recommendation designed to provide greater confidence than the generalized “one-size-fits-all” guidance commonly found in older internet articles and forum discussions.
